Fashion retailer Primark has announced its debut store in Italy – the first of three stores planned for the country in the next year.

The new store will be based in the II Centro shopping centre in Arese, Milan and will cover 56,000 sq ft and employ 400 members of staff.

Paul Marchant, CEO, said: “This new Primark store will offer our new Italian customers amazing fashion at amazing prices for all the family.”

Primark currently trades from around 285 stores in the UK, Ireland and continental Europe and plans to open three more stores next month in Groningen and Alkmaar in The Netherlands and York Monks Cross, UK and Danbruy, Connecticut in June.
