Swedish retailer Ikea are set to trial selling their products on websites other than their own for the first time. The plans involve selling their products and third-party websites such as Amazon or Chinese site Alibaba, both of which have declared an interest in moving into the furniture market. Torbjörn Lööf, chief executive of Inter Ikea Group said, “On digital platforms, we only sell our products through our own website, and there we also see that the competitive landscape is changing.”
