Ikea has seen record revenues and profits at its Dublin store in the past year, fuelling the case for growth throughout Ireland.

“We are pleased to report positive growth in the Ikea Dublin store in financial year 2015,” said store manager Marsha Smith.

“Ikea is committed to expanding in the Irish market and has been identifying sites in Ireland for a potential second store.”

In the 12 months, approximately 2.6 million customers visited the Ballymun-area store, pushing pre-tax profits to €13.1 million – almost double the previous year, as revenues grew 17% to €131.9 million.
