Hunter Douglas will acquire Hillarys from Ares Capital Corporation for a purchase price of £300 million.
Hillarys employs around 1,300 people and reached sales of £185 million in 2016. The company will remain a standalone business following the acquisition and will be run by the existing management team.
Hunter Douglas has a head office in Rotterdam and a management office in Lucerne, Switzerland. The group is made up of 130 companies with 50 manufacturing and 80 assembly operations in more than 100 countries. It employs about 21,000 people and had sales of $2.821 billion in 2016.
