Queensgate shopping centre in Peterborough has revealed that fashion brand H&M will be upsizing to a 35,000 sq ft space and this will be its regional flagship store. The shopping centre will also benefit from confectionery retailer Hotel Chocolat opening a store.
Opening on 28th July, H&M will now be located opposite John Lewis and has relocated due to a strong performance from its existing store. The new store will host the brand’s full range as well as its latest collaborations with artists including M.I.A.
Also opening in August this year, chocolatier Hotel Chocolat will be taking a 1,400 sq ft store which will be situated in the East Mall opposite The Perfume Shop and Pandora.
Co-founder of Hotel Chocolat, Peter Harris, said: “We are delighted to extend our presence amongst the impressive retail line-up at Queensgate. The continually strong performance of this regional destination, coupled with continued investment in the centre, made this the ideal location for our next store.”
Head of retail asset management at Lendlease, Guy Thomas, commented: “We are pleased to welcome Hotel Chocolat to the retail line up, while the upsizing of H&M will deliver an improved regional flagship store offering a full range for the benefit of our customers.”
