Bakery chain Greggs has re-launched its mobile payment app with a simplified registration process and a loyalty scheme that customers can begin using straight away without having to upload funds.
The app allows customers to pay for goods through PayPal, Apple Pay, by preloading money onto their account or with cash or a debit/credit card.

Incentives include a free breakfast when topping up by £10 for the first time a free hot drink for every seven purchased, a prize draw every month for reward card holders and a birthday treat.
Malcolm Copland, commercial director at Greggs, said: “We first launched Greggs Rewards in 2014, and since then we’ve listened carefully to what our customers want; an easy-to-use app that allows them to pay quickly and easily via a smartphone, along with exclusive offers to reward them for shopping with us. We will continue to develop these offers over the forthcoming months.”
