Mark Crutchley, finance director at Schuh has announced that he will be stepping down after 22 years at the company.

Replacing Mr Crutchley will be David Gillan-Reid, head of finance and HR, who has been with the business for 18 years, whilst Sean McKee will be taking over the responsibility for ecommerce.

Whilst Mark Crutchley was in charge, figures show that turnover increased from £19 million to £267 million.
Commenting, Mr Crutchley said: “When we sold Schuh, it was always my intention to step down after overseeing our transition from a private company to being part of a public global footwear retailer.

“I am delighted that we have now reached that stage and I can leave the company safe in the knowledge that there is an exceptional team of people who will take the business forward.”
