Ex Samworth Brothers CEO joins Tesco as non-exec director

Supermarket giant Tesco has reported that ex Samworth Brothers CEO, Lindsey Pownall will be joining its board as a non-executive director starting on the 1^st April.

Ms Pownall brings a wealth of experience in the food, grocery area having previously held the position of chief executive of chilled and ambient food supplier Samworth Brothers.

John Allan, Tesco chairman, commented: “I'm delighted to welcome Lindsey as a non-executive director. She brings a wealth of relevant experience, and complements the existing skills and experience on the board. She will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to the board.”
