Meseret Kumulchew, a supervisor at Starbucks who has dyslexia has won her disability discrimination case against the coffee company.

A separate hearing will take place to decide if there will be any compensation and Starbucks are now in discussions about providing more workplace support.

Commenting, the company said: "We are in ongoing discussions with this Starbucks partner (employee) around specific workplace support and we are not able to comment on a case that has not yet been completed."

CEO of the British Dyslexia Association, Dr Kate Saunders said that this should be a “wake-up call” for employers.
