Electronic and mobile phone retailer, Dixons Carphone announced figures for the Christmas period, exceeding its forecasted sales totals and keeping its full profit outlook. The firm, which operates as Currys, Carphone Warehouse and PC World reported sales figures rose by 4% in the stores that have been open for a year or more. This is compared to a 2.5% growth predicted by analysts for the company whilst within the UK and Ireland, like-for-like sales rose by 6% against forecasted sales growth of 3.5% In light of these numbers, Dixons have predicted pre-tax profit of £475-495m for 2016/17.
