Debenhams have revealed their Christmas campaign for 2017, on the same day as John Lewis’ advert.
The ‘fairy-tale’ style advert is based around Cinderella and will launch on television screens tonight.
Richard Cristofoli, Debenhams managing director of Beauty and Marketing, said: “Customers told us they expect to be entertained at Christmas. ‘You Shall’ is a modern take on a classic fairy-tale with finding at its core. Our story is heart-warming and uplifting.
"The full campaign showcases our breadth of gifts for everyone.”
To promote the advert, Debenhams will be “taking over” YouTube from midnight, while the full ad will run across TV over the coming weeks, as well as VoD, social and paid-for digital. The campaign will also feature in more product-focused creative in print and outdoor, as well as being brought to life in-store.
