Bosideng, the Chinese clothing retailer has today announced its withdrawal from the UK market, citing the uncertainty in the economy brought about by the Brexit vote as the main reason. The company, which is one of the largest clothing operations in China, had spent £30m on opening their flagship store in September 2012. A spokesperson for the company had stated that “given the uncertainty of the UK market after Brexit, and considering the investment return, our company decided to rent out the property instead”.
