Print designer Celia Birtwell will be working with shopping centre owner Intu on its ‘turn over a new leaf’ autumn/winter 2015 fashion campaign creating an exclusive Jacobean print.
Manchester School of Art graduate and 2015 Fashion Innovation Award winner, Hannah Sykes, has also turned the print into a special gown, which launched at the Trafford Centre being worn by an aerial artist who was suspended thirteen metres from the top of the Main Dome.
Customer experience director of Intu, Roger Binks, said: “We’re marking this new fashion season in style. When it comes to designers, few carry more weight than Celia Birtwell. We are absolutely delighted to work with her to create this stunning print, and provide our customers with a compelling experience – one that they won’t forget.”
Intu are offering customers an opportunity to get hold of a limited edition Celia Birtwell tote bag via in-store competitions, gift card promotions and online. Customer service employees will also be wearing a scarf with the print design as part of their uniform.
As well as working with Celia Birtwell, the shopping centres will also be organising events such as pop-up catwalks, ‘win your winter wardrobe’ competitions, fashion shows, personal shopper experiences and Q&A sessions.
