Latest figures show that the homewares retailer’s underlying profits rose by 27.4% to £9.3m in the year to March 26th. Chief executive, Kenny Wilson noted that, “We’re having a good time across the board…they [in Asia] like pretty, feminine and floral so the aesthetic works very well, but they also like the essential Britishness of Cath Kidston.” Company turnover also increased by almost 8% to £129.2m thanks to a near 20% increase in overseas sales, with success in Asian markets including Japan and Thailand in particular.
