After two decades, Cath Kidston has announced that she will be stepping down from her role as non-executive director at her eponymous business.
Having started the company from a single ‘junk shop’ Holland Park in West London, Kidston will be retiring from the brand after its annual meeting to concentrate on other business projects, however Ms Kidston will remain a shareholder, with more than a 10% stake.
Commenting, Ms Kidston, said: “When I opened my first shop in 1993 I never imagined that it would grow into a global phenomenon.”
Kenny Wilson, chief executive added: "We knew she would step down and this has been a planned transition."
