British retailer Carpetright has announced improved sales figures of 1.4% in the final quarter of the financial year within its Rest of Europe business. Countries included in this are The Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland in their local currency, leading the company to announce that full year profits should be within the current market expectations; however, it may be at the lower end of the predictions. Wilf Walsh, Carpetright chief executive also attributed much of the improved trading to the refurbishment of 188 stores in the UK.
