Greetings card retailer, Card Factory have reported positive figures for sales in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year. From the 11 months to December, like-for-like sales growth was at 0.4%, slightly down on the 2.8% growth seen last year. Despite this, the company stated that it had enjoyed good trading over the Christmas period, with Johnathan Pritchard, an analyst from Peel Hunt, suggesting "that the greetings card industry is extremely stable and Card Factory has an enviable position within it”. This was supported by figures which saw year-to-date growth of 4.3% over the 11-month period.
