Capri Holdings, the owner of Versace, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors, has appointed Alejandro Martinez-Galindo as chief information officer.

Due to join the business on 8 March, he will report to Capri Holdings chief financial officer and chief operating officer, Thomas Edwards.

Martinez-Galindo was previously chief information officer of Walgreens where he led a transformation of the company’s retail digital platform. Prior to that, he held multiple chief information officer roles at General Motors in various regions of the world.

Edwards said: “Alejandro brings significant experience leading global retail digital transformations, large-scale enterprise systems implementations and data analytics innovation. His strong track record over a broad range of industries and focus on driving business results will help accelerate Capri Holdings continued digital and ecommerce evolution.”
