Fashion retailer Boohoo has successfully utilised social media in order to boost sales, with celebrities such as model Jordyn Woods helping raise the profile of the company. Sales had risen by 51% up to £295m in the year to the end of February, pushing the retailer’s pre-tax profits up by 97%, totalling in £31m. The increase in sales is similar to the one experienced by fellow online competitor ASOS, who are now valued at £4.7bn.
