It has been reported that Bluewater is welcoming Penhaligon’s, the traditional British perfumer.

The new standalone store, covering 253 sq ft and opening in early August will stock the brand’s full range of grooming products and fragrances and will be situated on the lower Guildhall joining Bluewater’s line up of premium and aspirational brands.

Chief executive of Penhaligon’s, Lance Patterson, said: “We wanted to continue our expansion within the UK and Bluewater stood out as the obvious choice when searching for a new site due to its proximity to London and the strength of its catchment. In addition, we will be in such good company, surrounded by other great brands.”

Portfolio director at Land Securities, co-owner and asset manager of Bluewater, Russell Loveland, commented: “Penhaligon’s is another distinguished addition to our line-up of premium brands, joining Breitling, Jo Malone and Montblanc in selecting Bluewater for their key store outside the capital. Penhaligon’s decision is also testament to Bluewater’s enduring success in terms of consistent sales growth and an unrivalled ability to attract significant volumes of affluent, discerning consumers.”
