B&Q has announced that it will not be participating in the Black Friday sales this year as it is focusing on their new ‘everyday low prices’ model following a £100 million investment in July.
B&Q recently held a study which found that shoppers are more likely to trust retailers who hold one off sales as opposed to retailers that run frequent sales. It also found that 46% of those who took part the survey have said that they don’t plan to take part in this year’s Black Friday sales.
Paul White, commercial director at B&Q, said “Shoppers have told us they trust stable low prices far more than ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ deals. Our pricing is all part of B&Q’s strategy to help make home improvement more affordable for all customers. This year, over 3,000 new low prices have been introduced for great quality products.”
