Discount retailer B&M has opened its latest garden centre, marking 100 sites opened since 2011. The company plans to open a further 10 garden centres before the end of the year.

The latest store has created 80 jobs for the local economy. Simon Arora, B&M chief operating executive, said: “We are delighted to reach this milestone at our Garden Centre division, which now has the critical mass to be an important player in the sector."

The discount retailer has over 500 stores across the UK, selling a variety of products including food and drinks, homeware, toys and DIY.
