Asda has announced that it will offer employees the option of opting into a flexible contract, with the added incentive of increased pay for those who choose to do so. From October, they will pay £8.50 an hour for those on these contracts, which is an increase from the £7.44 an hour wage offered prior to this. If employees do not take up this offer, then their basic pay will rise to £7.50 in line with the national average and the rest of the contract will remain the same.
