Warehouse staff at Arcadia have threatened to strike on so-called ‘Cyber Monday’, in a move which could disrupt one of the retailer’s most significant sales days.

Members of the GMB union say that they want to be paid the real living wage” of £8.45, the figure recommended by the Living Wage Foundation, as opposed to the National Minimum Wage of £7.20.

However, Arcadia has countered that the striking staff make up a small proportion of its workforce and that agency workers will be drafted in to avoid any disruption.
