Amazon has announced plans to create 1,000 apprenticeship roles in the UK over the next two years. Nine different programmes, ranging from 13 month placements to four years, will be offered across the country in departments ranging from IT to HR, safety, software engineering, robotics, leadership and technology.
Doug Gurr, UK country manager at Amazon, said: “We want to give people opportunities to succeed in the digital age, regardless of their background. Our fully-funded apprenticeship programme, from entry through to degree level, will provide an exciting path to becoming Amazon’s future team leaders, engineers and innovation drivers.”
Applications open at the end of March, and are available across multiple levels, with starting salaries of £9.50/£10.50 per hour up to £30,000 a year.
