Amazon’s food delivery service, Amazon Fresh, is said to be launching in the UK this month, putting further pressure on the country’s grocery sector.
The service, which delivers fresh foods and has been active in the US for approximately seven years, will launch on the 18th according to chilled meals supplier Bol.
Amazon recently signed a deal with Morrisons, allowing UK shoppers to buy fresh food through its website for the first time.
Amazon launched the Amazon Pantry service in the UK last year offering shoppers around 4,000 grocery and store cupboard items. In September it launched a frozen food offering through its Prime Now one-hour delivery service.
