It has been reported that Amazon is in talks with the former head of womensear at M&S as rumours build regarding its own-label fashion line.

Frances Russell left M&S last year and is thought to be in talks regarding a senior role with the online giant. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the company is also looking for a senior sourcing manager and advertising for a ‘vendor-management role’ and a ‘fit specialist’.

The company sells a number of third party labels but Jeff Yurcisin, Vice President of Clothing, told a conference last year: “When we see gaps, when certain brands have actually decided for their own reasons not to sell with us, our customer still wants a product like that”.
