Discount supermarket Aldi have taken the decision to move into the continuingly expanding Chinese market. The company will not be opening a physical store in the country,  only opening an online service during 2017. It will mark the first time the company has opened services in a country it has not yet opened physical stores in, with the aim being to provide Chinese consumers with high quality affordable alternatives. A spokesperson for the company stated that they will source much of their goods for the store from Australia, due to the fact that demand for Australian products are high in China.
