Transition Manager (Change)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Transition Change Manager to lead organisational change and business readiness activity across a high-profile, large-scale transformation and acquisition programme.
This is a critical role focused on ensuring the successful integration of people, processes, and systems while maintaining operational continuity and minimising disruption to the business. You'll act as the bridge between technology delivery and operational execution, ensuring change lands effectively across the organisation.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, HR, IT, Finance, and Legal, you will lead the transition strategy, drive business engagement, and ensure Day 1 readiness across multiple workstreams.
This is a fast-paced, highly visible role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments, can bring structure to ambiguity, and has a strong background in transition, change, and post-merger integration.
What You'll Be Doing
Transition & Change Strategy
- Define and lead the end-to-end transition and change management strategy
- Develop and maintain robust multi-phase transition and integration plans
- Drive Day 1 readiness activity and ensure operational continuity throughout the programme
- Identify and mitigate risks across both pre- and post-transition activity
- Translate complex programme requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans
Business Readiness & Operational Integration
- Ensure business teams are fully prepared for new processes, systems, and ways of working
- Lead impact assessments, process mapping, and transition planning activities
- Align operational readiness with technology and programme delivery milestones
- Manage dependencies between technical and non-technical workstreams
- Support the successful embedding and adoption of change across the organisation
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Build strong relationships across Operations, HR, IT, Finance, and Legal
- Communicate programme updates, risks, and recommendations confidently at Executive and Director level
- Lead governance discussions and support effective programme decision-making
- Escalate critical risks, blockers, and delivery issues where required
- Drive engagement and accountability across multiple business functions
About You
Essential
- Proven experience leading transition, change, or post-merger integration programmes
- Strong experience delivering Day 1 readiness and operational integration activity
- Experience managing both business and technology change simultaneously
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with ambiguity and evolving priorities
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance risk, pace, and operational impact
- Excellent structured thinking and problem-solving capability
- Willing to work both strategically and hands-on where needed
- PRINCE2, MSP, Prosci, or equivalent programme/change certifications
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK
