This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a Senior Finance Analyst within Fashion, Home & Beauty (FH&B) Transformation, partnering at the heart of a high-impact programme focused on improving profitability, modernising the supply chain and accelerating our omnichannel proposition.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Transformation, Space Planning and Finance, providing commercial insight, challenge and clarity to drive the right investment decisions and deliver meaningful cost-out benefits.

Operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment, this role offers the opportunity to become a trusted business partner and influence high-profile decisions, while helping shape the future of FH&B at M&S.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Partnering across FH&B Transformation, Space Planning and Finance to provide insightful analysis, challenge and decision support, while identifying opportunities to drive additional value and savings through cross-functional collaboration
  • Owning project financials end-to-end, from analysis and business case development through to approval, ensuring robust, deliverable and value-focused investment decisions
  • Tracking transformation delivery, cost-out benefits and investment performance, providing clear reporting on KPIs, spending control and overall delivery
  • Managing budgets and approved spend, alongside supporting governance and assurance activity including post-investment reviews (PIRs) to strengthen future decision-making
  • Leading the weekly FH&B Investment Committee and supporting month-end cost-out, capex and performance reporting to enable informed leadership decisions

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen, ideally with retail or industry experience in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate insights and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Highly analytical, with experience using data to deliver accurate, insightful and value-driven analysis, alongside a strong understanding of industry trends and customer drivers
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to enhance controls, processes and governance frameworks
  • Forward-thinking and proactive, able to anticipate future requirements, work independently and collaboratively, and take ownership of delivering results
