About the role Domain Architects drive alignment to help Technology collectively deliver a simpler, flexible & sustainable architecture. They define, communicate and govern the architecture for given business domains in order to ensure it enables and delivers the Tesco Business Strategy. They work closely with senior stakeholders to understand specific domain requirements, leading in the development of architecture blueprints and providing technical leadership to ensure integrity and consistency of technology solutions across the domain. - Ensure we have models and materials that describe the application landscape for a given domain at a high-level and how it supports the business unit
- Help colleagues of all levels to understand the bigger picture and their role / activities within it to aid decision making

- Contribute to the definition of a target domain architecture that will improve our business for customers and colleagues in line with our business and Technology strategy and plans
- Identify organisational requirements for the resources to support the delivery of the architecture

- Build effective relationships with our business and group colleagues, and valued 3rd party partners.

- Deep knowledge and proven record of leading a business domain through a transformation programme
- Continuous Improvement in Application landscape to rationalise and decommission applications.
- Design and management of an domain architecture to meet it's strategic needs, providing a blueprint for engineers to build and product to follow
- Creation, communication and embedding of Technology strategy

- Hands on (current or previous) engineering experience
