- Build high-quality mobile features using React Native (+ Expo)
- Help shape architectural decisions for cross-platform development

Integrated into the main Tesco app, making it easily accessible to millions of customers already using the platform

The In-Store Experience is part of the wider Tesco app ecosystem, currently native (iOS and Android) and evolving towards React Native with Expo.
This creates a great opportunity to:
- Build features that directly improve millions of in-store shopping journeys
- Work on location-aware and personalised experiences for Tesco customers
- Contribute to the shift towards a scalable cross-platform setup in Agile setup
You will need
- Strong experience building production React Native applications
- Comfortable working across both mobile and web when needed, or open to picking it up
- Confidence designing and scaling complex mobile architectures
- Solid understanding of mobile platform constraints and trade-offs
- Experience working with GraphQL APIs
- Awareness of mobile accessibility best practices
- Comfortable working across the full development lifecycle (design → build → release → iterate)
- Familiarity with Agile / Lean environments (TDD, BDD, etc. are a plus)
- A proactive mindset—ownership, curiosity, and a drive to improve things
