Our KB Distribution team are now looking for a Dispatch Manager to deliver exceptional service beyond our store doors.
Based in our iconic Knightsbridge location, this role sits at the heart of our delivery operation, ensuring every in‑store purchase reaches our customers seamlessly, safely and on time. Leading a dedicated dispatch team, you’ll play a key role in upholding Harrods’ renowned service standards while driving operational excellence across deliveries, post and courier services.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end dispatch operation for all in‑store purchases from Knightsbridge. Reporting to the Delivery Operations Manager, you will lead the Dispatch team to ensure all orders — including VIP and special deliveries — are packed, processed and dispatched to the highest standards, on time and in line with service level agreements.
You will manage the day‑to‑day performance of the dispatch operation, including people leadership, systems oversight and fleet management. This is a hands‑on, operational role that requires strong organisation, clear communication and the ability to respond quickly to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching and developing the Dispatch team, ensuring productivity, engagement and adherence to Harrods policies and standards
- Managing recruitment, rotas, attendance, performance and training, including manual handling, forklift and hazardous materials compliance
- Overseeing all deliveries, van dispatch routes and driver productivity, ensuring road safety, vehicle checks and fleet maintenance are completed
- Managing the in‑house Post Room and Courier Desk, building effective relationships with external courier partners
- Ensuring accurate record‑keeping across deliveries, payroll, absences, productivity reporting and SAP scanning
- Maintaining smooth operation of dispatch systems and equipment, escalating issues to IT and the Delivery Operations Manager as required
- Upholding housekeeping, health and safety standards across all dispatch and warehouse areas
This role is fully on site, working 5 out of the 7 days a week.

About You
You will be an experienced operational leader who thrives in a logistics or distribution environment and is confident managing people, processes and performance. Comfortable leading from the front, you bring a calm, organised approach and are motivated by delivering a consistently high level of service.
You will:
- Have proven experience managing teams within a dispatch, logistics, warehouse or distribution setting
- Be a confident people manager, with experience in performance management, coaching and team development
- Have strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Be comfortable working with systems, data and reporting to monitor productivity and service levels
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
- Have a strong awareness of health & safety, manual handling and compliance requirements
- Physical fitness is important for this role due to its operational nature.
