Aldi are looking for someone who is passionate about food, to join our Sampling Department as a Sampling Assistant.
You will be used to working independently and using your initiative when needed. Important to the role is being a confident communicator with the ability to network at all levels within Aldi. Being a team player means you will naturally fit well with our culture.
You must enjoy driving, as this role will require you to drive to multiple locations to shop Aldi and other retailers’ products.
You will demonstrate that you can proactively manage your area of responsibility and assist in developing and maintaining quality management systems. This is a key support role within the Quality Assurance team, and you will be required to operate at pace and with leadership.
This role is also about supporting the team in sampling, which may involve the daily preparation of food products.

Your New Role
- Obtains product samples where necessary
- Collates all shopping requirements and prepares shopping lists
- Manages equipment stock levels within the department
- Prepares credit card statements and expenditure sheets according to the agreed Aldi procedure
- Prepares product samples for the evaluation of National Buying at pre-arranged sampling sessions
- Communicates issues found during food preparation to the National Buying Team
- Ensures a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in all sampling areas
- Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with all stakeholders
- Ensures the accuracy of all correspondence within the agreed timelines
About You
- Full UK driving license
- A track record that demonstrates punctuality, dependability and integrity
- Retail and/or hospitality experience
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Teams
- Strong attention to detail
- High levels of accuracy

- Salary starting from £26,835 rising to £31,195 (salary pro rata)
