Join M&S as a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) and play a key role in aligning cyber security with business strategy.
We’re hiring two BISO roles, each acting as a senior link between Cyber Security and the wider business - ensuring clear visibility, ownership and management of cyber and technology risk across the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Security Business Engagement, you’ll act as the senior link between Cyber Security and the wider business - ensuring clear visibility, ownership and management of cyber and technology risk across the organisation.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to drive accountability, influence decision-making and embed security into how we operate and change.
This is a high-impact, strategic role where you’ll help shape how we manage risk at scale across a complex, global retail environment.

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Lead the development and delivery of a business-aligned cyber and technology risk strategy
- Provide clear, structured reporting on cyber risk, giving senior leadership a single view across the organisation
- Build strong relationships with business, technology and executive stakeholders to drive risk awareness and accountability
- Establish and embed governance frameworks, KPIs and KRIs to monitor and reduce risk
- Act as a trusted advisor, influencing strategic decisions and ensuring security is embedded in change initiatives
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
- Deep expertise in cyber and technology risk management
- Proven ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders, including board-level engagement
- Strong understanding of enterprise technology environments, security controls and risk frameworks
- Experience delivering large-scale change and transformation in complex organisations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong strategic thinking
