Our Engineering team are now looking for an Assistant Engineering Technician to help keep our iconic store running at itsvery best.


This is an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities & Engineering team, whereyou’llsupport the smooth and safe operation of a wide range of building systems. Working alongside experienced technicians,you’llgain hands-on exposure across electrical, mechanical, HVAC and general maintenance, all whilst developing your skills in a fast-paced, unique environment.


About the Role


In this role you willbe responsible forsupporting the maintenance and performance of engineering systems across the estate, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently and in line with compliance standards.You’llwork closely with Technicians and the wider Engineering team,assistingwith both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, while continuously building your technical knowledge.


Day to day, you will:

  • Support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building systems.
  • Assistin diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs under supervision.
  • Helpmaintainaccuraterecords using maintenance systems and update asset information.
  • Support compliance activities, including risk assessments, permits-to-workand safety procedures.
  • Contribute to small project works such as installations,upgradesand commissioning tasks.
  • Assistwith basic building fabric repairs such as plumbing,carpentryand decoration whereappropriate.
  • Respond to urgent issues such as leaks, powerdisruptionsor safety hazards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.


You’llreport into a Principal Technician and playan important rolein ensuringhigh standardsof safety, reliability and service are consistently delivered.

About You


You will be a proactive and motivated individual who is eager to build a career in engineering. Comfortable working as part of a team,you’llenjoy learning from others while also taking ownership of your own development.


You will:

  • Have a recognised engineering qualification (or be working towards one), such as Electrical or Mechanical NVQ, City & Guilds or similar.
  • Have some hands-on experience or a strong interest in building services,maintenanceor engineering environments.
  • Be keen to develop multi-skilled capabilities across electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety and following procedures.
  • Be a clear communicator with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Show a positive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Be adaptable,organisedand able to respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
