Premium chocolate maker and retailer, Hotel Chocolat released their sales figures for the Christmas trading period, in which the company had a strong performance. Their revenue increased in the 26 weeks up to December 25th by 12%, up to a total of £62.5m. The company was boosted by improved Christmas ranges as well as better availability of products, leading to increased footfall and the uptake of higher priced items. This is ahead of key sales periods for the company, with both Mother’s day and Easter coming in the next few months. They opened ten new stores in the period, now operating a total of 93 in the UK and abroad.
