Trainee Internal Auditor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Internal Auditor to support the Internal Audit function by assisting with the delivery of assurance activities across the business. The trainee will work closely with experienced auditors to help evaluate the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control processes, and to identify opportunities for process improvement

About the Role

The Trainee Internal Auditor will support the planning and delivery of internal audits in line with the approved audit plan as well as assist with audit fieldwork activities, including process walkthroughs, control testing and data analysis.

Job Responsibilities;

• Assist in drafting clear and accurate audit reports, including findings, root causes and recommendations
• Maintain audit documentation in accordance with internal standards and methodologies
• Act in accordance with the Company’s values and policies, as well as with professional standards
• Identify control gaps, weaknesses and improvement opportunities, escalating issues to senior team members where appropriate

About You

The ideal candidate will be someone who has just graduate or recently graduate and now looking to take the fist step into the Internal Audit world. It is important that you have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail as well as good written and verbal communication skills.

You will also have the following

• Ability to organise work effectively and meet deadlines
• Keen interest and passion for internal audit
• Basic understanding of risk, controls and business processes
• Excellent attention to detail
