We’re looking for Senior Finance Analysts to join our growing Shared Service Centre in Salford Quays, where you’ll turn data into insight, partner with colleagues across the business, and help shape the future of finance as we continue to evolve into a Centre of Expertise model.

In-Person Assessment Day – Friday 10th July (starting at 1:30pm)

This will be a great chance to get to know more about the role, the team, and how you could grow your career with us. As part of the day, you can expect:

  • A presentation task where you’ll share your thinking and approach
  • A competency-based interview focused on your experience and potential
  • Time to meet members of the team and gain insight into life at M&S Finance
  • An opportunity to showcase your skills in a collaborative and welcoming environment

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting to support business performance and decision-making
  • Partner with commercial and central finance teams to provide clear, value-adding financial guidance
  • Lead and support initiatives to enhance the quality and depth of financial analysis and reporting
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end processes, ensuring strong controls and compliance
  • Identify and drive operational improvements to simplify, standardise, and strengthen finance outputs

Who you are

Your skills will include:

  • Strong analytical capability with the confidence to interpret data and communicate clear insights
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems such as SAP or Blackline
  • Excellent business partner management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
  • Ability to manage several priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with an interest in using technology or AI to improve ways of working
