Overview

At Dunelm, our Graduates thrive in environments that challenge them to think differently and step outside their comfort zone. As market leaders, we embrace change, champion innovation, and value individuality. Here, you’ll develop the growth mindset needed to make confident, informed business decisions and accelerate your career.

Think big. Grow fast. Make an impact.

Our Finance function spans a wide range of specialist areas - from Business Finance and Procurement to Group Central Finance, Group Tax, FP&A, Group Accounting & Reporting, Risk & Controls, and Internal Audit. Working alongside leaders and colleagues across the organisation, our teams provide expert insight, identify opportunities for improvement, and support critical business decisions that shape our future.

As a Finance Graduate, you’ll join a structured rotational programme designed to give you broad exposure across these areas. You’ll gain hands-on experience from day one, supported by tailored training, professional development, and full study support to achieve your finance qualifications.

We are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone can build a successful career, and we have systems and support in place to help all colleagues thrive. We’re looking for graduates who share our values and who celebrate diversity in all its forms.

This role is based out of our Syston, Leicester office, with a minimum of three days per week on-site.

Please be aware: We may close this advert early if we receive a high volume of applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

The assessment centre for this role will take place on Tuesday 1st December, at our Store Support Centre in Syston, Leicester.

What you'll be doing

Over the three‑year programme, you will:

  • Play a key role across a variety of finance areas as noted above
  • Contribute to a wide range of projects, often collaborating with teams from across the business
  • Build strong working relationships and gain a deep understanding of how different parts of the organisation operate
  • Take part in leadership workshops and development programmes designed to shape you into a future leader
  • Study towards a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA), supported by a dedicated mentor and structured study time

What we'll look for in you

  • Strong analytical thinking, with a natural curiosity to understand the “why” and the “how”
  • Resilience, ambition, and a proactive approach to your own development, always seeking new learning opportunities
  • A logical mindset, strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships within your team and across the wider business
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel, with an enthusiasm for developing data and technology skills
  • A willingness to embrace AI and new technologies to improve efficiency, problem-solving and ways of working
  • A willingness to challenge, ask questions and contribute ideas to improve existing ways of working
You must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. Please note: We will evaluate any applicants who do not have all the relevant qualifications. A finance degree may be beneficial for this role, but it is not a requirement.
