Dunelm

Dunelm describes itself as the UK's leading homewares retailer. It sells homewares and furniture through more than 200 stores and online at dunelm.com, and has around 12,000 colleagues across its stores and support sites.

Dunelm started in 1979 as a stall on Leicester Market and opened its first shop in Leicester in 1984; its 200th store opened in 2025. Its own brands include Dunelm and Dorma, its stores have Pausa cafés, and it makes made-to-measure curtains and blinds at its manufacturing centre in Birstall, Leicester.

Where people work: in stores across the UK, as sales assistants, Pausa coffee shop assistants, stock and trade assistants, curtain and blind fitters and store leaders (Dunelm calls its store managers coaches); in customer care; in warehouse and delivery teams; in manufacturing in Birstall; and in tech, digital and data, design and product, and head office teams based in Leicester and central London. Dunelm also runs graduate and apprenticeship programmes.

This Christmas Dunelm is taking on seasonal sales assistants, stock assistants and Pausa baristas for its stores, on seasonal contracts running until 13 February 2027, with pay of £12.71 an hour for those aged 18 and over (£13.39 in some stores).
