C8 Media Planner Role Profile – FIXED TERM (6 months)
Purpose of the role
To support with the development and implementation of communications planning for Asda, George and Asda Media partnerships using our media budget effectively across all communications channels to drive footfall, traffic, growth and sales. To support in the delivery accurate financial forecasting and support in management of the total media investment.
Media Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day communications planning for Asda, George and Asda Media Partnership. Play a key role in building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate closely with Creative and Proposition leads to ensure communications plans are reflective of the campaign strategies
Deliver integrated comms plans across paid and support owned and earned channels when required
Support in the delivery and deployment of innovative and targeted media communications planning
Work closely with media/creative agency partners to ensure communications plan land effectively and in a timely manner
Working cross functionally and with agency partners to build customer journeys and ecosystems for campaigns
Build collaborative relationships with the operations team and play an integral role in channel mapping, squad and process meetings
Responsible for reviewing and checking relevant communications plan ensuring 100% accuracy
Create measurable campaign KPI's, helping to enhance media effectiveness
Review and analyse campaign metrics and leverage insights from data to improve media effectiveness
Responsible for demonstrating an understanding of all media channels including TV, Radio, digital, social, print, OOH, and search
Showcase an understanding of digital, social and emerging platforms and technologies
Monitoring and delivering key ASDA and George competitor reports, staying current of industry trends and analysing benefits of incorporating new media.
Commercial/Finance Requirement
Day to day management of the Asda and George Media budgets and financial documents
Owning and delivering accurate financial forecasts at mid month and month end
Reviewing and processing invoices and credits
Ownership of the media weekly exec pack and one plan calls
Essential Skills and Expertise
Numerical and analytics skills
Media experience/digital expertise (above the line and digital)
Digital certifications preferable (AdWords certified for example)
Experience working client side or within an agency ideal for a minimum of 2 years
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise activities
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
