The Dune Group have a successful International business, which is fulfilled through a Franchise and Wholesale model.

To process the demand for this business we have a small dedicated team split between our London Head Office and Leicester DC who are responsible for raising sales orders and ensuring that these orders are fulfilled in the necessary timescales. In addition, this team will deal with Logistics based queries from our partners, customers and internal teams.

The Logistics Supervisor role will manage this team effectively, ensuring the efficient use of resource and that the service delivered to both the business and our customers is exceptional. The Supervisor will also be the key representative at inter-departmental meetings, providing clear progress updates and delivering resolution to any issues which may be raised.

Whilst the role is within the Logistics department, a deep technical knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics is not vital (although it would be beneficial). However, what is a definite requirement is the ability to manage a small team effectively in a dynamic environment as well as the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across functions.


Team Leadership
Manage workload across the Fulfilment team (currently 4 heads) ensuring work is balanced and that resource is deployed in the most efficient manner possible.
Ensure tasks are prioritised as necessary and that a commercial mindset is always maintained when scheduling work.
Consider team member development, ensuring that team members both have the skill set for the tasks in hand (or are provided with the ability to develop these skills) and that individual growth and development is supported.
Challenge, as appropriate, the demands made on the team and ensure that focus is always maintained on ensuring customer satisfaction.

Define and, if required, generate the necessary reporting such that the day to day operations can be clearly monitored.

Help ensure the team processes are reviewed as necessary so as to support a philosophy of continuous improvement.
Provide cover as necessary for the other Supervisors within the team.


Very strong communication skills – with the ability to clearly communicate information concisely across different levels / functions.
Strong team leader skills with the demonstrable ability to maximise the impact of a small team.
Good time management and prioritisation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office - especially Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
Very strong attention to detail.
Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships as necessary.

Experience of working with Island Pacific or other ERP systems.
Knowledge of export processes and procedures.
Experience of working in an International export environment.
