About us

Lush makes fresh, handmade cosmetics and is known as the inventor of the bath bomb. It describes itself as a partly employee-owned, family-run company, and has been 10% employee-owned since 2017. Lush opened its first shop at 29 High Street, Poole, in 1995 and has grown to more than 800 stores in over 50 countries.

Its products include bath bombs, shower jellies and solid shampoo bars, made with fresh ingredients such as organic fruit and vegetables. Lush campaigns against animal testing and sells many products “naked”, without any packaging.

Where people work: in Lush shops across the UK and Ireland; in Support teams; in Manufacturing, based in Poole; in Digital; and in Lush Spa. In the UK, Lush Retail is an accredited Living Wage employer.

At Christmas Lush takes on seasonal sales assistants, stock assistants and supervisors for its shops, as well as seasonal production assistants in Poole.

What Lush offers (benefits listed in Lush's adverts; they vary by role and some have eligibility conditions): a 50% discount on Lush products and spa treatments, a profit-based bonus, a paid day off for your birthday, a pension scheme, a cycle to work scheme, discounted rail and bus season tickets, an employee assistance programme, six months' full pay for parental leave for primary caregivers, enhanced paternity leave and, in some roles, a complimentary spa treatment. Colleagues can also join employee-led community networks, including Disability and Chronic Illness, Family Support, Global Majority, LGBTQIA+, Menopause and Neurodiversity.

Every Lush job on The Retail Appointment links straight through to Lush's own careers site to apply.
