Tesco has launched a trial that will see new technology introduced that will allow it to recycle all forms of plastic packaging.
The retailer has teamed up with Recycling Technologies to launch the trial in 10 stores with in the Bristol and Swindon areas.
The trial will enable customers to return ‘hard-to-recycle’ plastics such as shopping bags, crisp packets and pet food pouches.
Tesco has said that all of its packaging will be recyclable by 2025.
