JYSK has opened its first store in Azerbaijan.

The store is a franchise and is situated in Baku, the country's capital.  The store will be in a 1,105 square metre unit.

The furniture retailer already has franchise stores operating in Armenia and Georgia.

JYSK franchise director Frederik Kroun said: “We are already represented in that part of the world, and we strongly believe that there is a market for JYSK in Azerbaijan as well. It is a market with growth and of course we want to be a part of that and provide the customers with a great offer from JYSK.”

The retailer currently has 2,700 stores around the world, with a presence in 52 countries.
