A leading airport retailer in the East Midlands is seeking a Deputy Manager to join its management team within a large, fast-paced Fashion & Accessories operation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail professional looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
The Role
You will act as Deputy Manager for a high-volume retail operation, supporting the Store Manager in leading a large team to deliver outstanding customer service, maximise sales performance, and create an engaging shopping experience for every customer.
You will be responsible for coaching and developing people, driving service excellence, and ensuring operational standards are consistently achieved across the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, motivate, and develop a large retail team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Create a customer-first culture that drives loyalty, satisfaction, and commercial success.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing people development.
• Drive team engagement and performance through effective leadership and coaching.
• Ensure operational excellence, including compliance, stock management, and presentation standards.
• Support the Store Manager in delivering sales, service, and profitability targets.
• Act as a key role model on the shop floor, leading by example at all times.

• Proven leadership experience within a large-format retail environment.
• Passionate about delivering world-class customer service.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing setting.
• Commercially aware with the ability to drive performance through people.
• Confident, energetic, and capable of inspiring others to achieve results.
