A leading multi-product supermarket retailer are looking for a motivated and hands-on Deputy Store Manager to support the leadership of their store. The role is based in the Channel Island of Guernsey or Jersey and open to candidates willing to relocate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.

The Role:
As Deputy Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the store. You’ll lead by example on the shop floor, support and motivate the team, and help drive sales, operational standards, and customer satisfaction.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards across the store while helping to create a positive and productive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations
- Lead, coach, and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service
- Drive sales performance and support achievement of KPI targets
- Ensure high standards of stock control, replenishment, and merchandising
- Manage store operations in the Store Manager’s absence
- Support recruitment, training, and development of team members
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and company procedures
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised store environment

Requirements:
- Senior management experience within supermarket environments or FMCG
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Commercial awareness with a proactive and results-driven approach
- Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and busy trading periods
- Experience within food retail or supermarket operations is highly desirable

The salary is paying up to £45,000 plus £3,000 relocation allowance.
