Everyone who works at Lidl brings something unique to the table - but we also have a whole lot in common. We’re proactive, reliable, and ready to take on any challenge.
Just like you.

We are looking for a confident Buying Administrator to join our Head Office Food Buying Team. This is an ideal role for a positive, enthusiastic team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will relish working under pressure. You will be supporting our Buyers with administrative tasks, liaising with suppliers, and communicating internally across departments. This role is fundamental in ensuring that Lidl remains competitive and continues its successful growth across Europe.

At Lidl, we offer a hybrid working model to give you the best of both worlds. Spend three days or more in our state-of-the-art office, where you can enjoy an on-site gym, restaurant, and more of the perks you deserve. And with up to two days at home, you’ll find the work/life balance you need to thrive.

What you'll do

  • Manage the End-to-End Contract Process: Draft, issue, and complete accurately detailed contracts for our product categories within strict business deadlines.
  • Coordinate Product & Supplier Data: Request, check, and maintain vital product master data, certificates, and supplier documentation, ensuring complete accuracy across systems.
  • Resolve Discrepancies: Spot data conflicts (such as price vs. product spec differences) early and work collaboratively with Suppliers, Buyers, and Coordinators to resolve them.
  • System & Data Maintenance: Keep internal purchasing logs and databases fully updated to ensure contract changes and upcoming promotions are communicated seamlessly across teams and regions.
  • Stakeholder & Inbox Management: Act as a key point of contact for external suppliers and internal teams, managing incoming queries through shared inboxes promptly and professionally.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Use data-quality tools, assist with ad-hoc projects, and proactively suggest ways to optimise departmental processes.

What you'll need

  • Previous administration experience within an office environment
  • Self-motivated, able to work well in a team and independently within a high-pressured environment
  • Well-organised with the ability to multitask and work to targets and strict deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A high degree of adaptability
  • A confident approach with excellent communication skills
  • The ability and confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Pro-active, approaching problems logically and calmly
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Google Chat, Docs, Sheets) is desirable
  • Positive can-do attitude with the willingness to learn

What you'll receive

  • 10% in-store discount
  • 30 days holiday pro rata
  • Market-leading family leave
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Plus, more of the perks you deserve

*including 10% non-contractual London Weighting allowance
