Constellation, working in partnership with Compass Group, is recruiting Ward Hosts / Catering Assistants to support patient dining services across hospital sites nationwide.

Working hours:

Flexible part-time and full-time shifts
A variety of shift patterns to suit your availability
Opportunities to work across multiple healthcare locations

The role:

Presenting menus and taking meal orders from patients
Supporting patients with dietary and allergen requirements
Preparing and delivering meals and refreshments for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Clearing ward areas and washing up, ensuring readiness for the next service
Liaising with ward staff to ensure patient needs are met promptly
Delivering excellent customer service with a patient-first approach
Working in line with Compass and NHS food safety and hygiene standards

About you:

Awareness of food safety and hygiene standards
Passionate about patient care with strong communication skills
Able to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team
Confident working in a hospital environment, including with patients who may be unwell or distressed
No previous Ward Host experience required - full training provided
Willingness to learn, take pride in your work, and go the extra mile for patients
